Helping Older People

 

Brighter Futures for Older People

This scheme supports older people in the Sevenoaks and Edenbridge area, enabling them to stay independent in the community by providing them with access to a wide range of community-based services delivered by volunteers.

Older people receive help through activities such as:

• Driving - find out more about the driving service
  
• Stepping Out - exercise and social activities on a weekly basis 
  
• Social outings in the Summer months
  
• Practical help eg shopping, form-filling, dog-walking, help with technology
  
• Provision of information about services for older people - call 01732 469000.

How to register with Brighter Futures:

There is a one-off Brighter Futures annual registration fee of £10. Once registered with Brighter Futures you will be entitled to make use of any of the Brighter Futures services.

Sevenoaks Brighter Futures is a service led by Sevenoaks and Edenbridge Volunteer Centres, partnered by Age Concern Sevenoaks, Social Services and South West Kent Primary Care Trust .
